Over the course of one week, from 3rd to 8th February 2025, a dynamic group of 15 participants engaged in an insightful and hands-on training programme on the packaging of food products specific to Meghalaya. Organized by the Directorate of Food Processing, Govt. of Meghalaya, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Kolkata Centre, this ongoing programme is set to conclude on Saturday. It has provided valuable knowledge and practical skills in modern packaging techniques, aimed at enhancing the food processing industry in the region. The collaborative effort seeks to empower local food producers with innovative packaging solutions to preserve and promote the rich food heritage of Meghalaya.
