Pickle Processing training, Rtiang Village, Ri Bhoi

In a collaborative effort, the Directorate of Food Processing (DOFP) partnered with the Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) and the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS), in conjunction with the District Horticulture Office - Department of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare, to inaugurate a Pickle Processing training initiative on August 28, 2023, at Rtiang Village, Umsning. This extensive week-long program is set to span three additional villages in Ri Bhoi, united by the mission to empower Self-Help Group (SHG) members in crafting a collective pickle brand from the renowned pickle-making hub of Ri Bhoi.
